Cookies and Third Party Services

News Curator uses cookies to store information about the login and account of users. Logging in to News Curator is required for most functionality as the service is personal by nature.

News Curator uses UserVoice to get your feedback. We supply a numeric account identifier and the account creation time to UserVoice. News Curator uses Google Analytics to help analyze how visitors use the website. The tool uses cookies to collect standard Internet log information and user behavior information. The information generated by the cookies about visitors' use of the website is transmitted to Google, including a numeric account identifier. This information is then used to evaluate visitors' use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity. You may opt-out of Google Analytics.

News Curator uses your email address as an option to identify your account. News Curator does not share your email addresses with 3rd parties, or send unsolicited email messages.

Social Networks

When you log in to News Curator using a social network account, or when you connect a social network to News Curator, you authorize News Curator to receive certain information from the social network, including your name, your e-mail address, and what you post on the social network. News Curator uses this personal information to improve your experience with our service. News Curator does not share the personal information with 3rd parties or use it outside of your context, except in aggregated, anonymous form. News Curator complies with the terms of service of the respective social network operators.

The content of websites linked to in social network posts is considered public information if such websites allow the News Curator bot to access the content.

Retention

News Curator retains personal information only as long as needed to provide its service. Most information is deleted within 90 days. Should you decide to delete your account, we immediately delete all personal information we have received from you.

Log Files

Like many other services, News Curator makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes IP addresses, type of browser, date/time stamp, requested resources, referring pages, and diagnostics information to administer the service, analyze trends, track users' movement around the service, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

Developer API

When using the News Curator Developer API, this privacy policy applies mutatis mutandis for the party using the API. Such party must provide its own privacy policy for its users.
